The Chapel Gallery will be hosting a Member Exhibition in the Window Salon during the month of August. Local artists, who are gallery members, have provided new works that will be on display.

Over 100 vehicles competed for prizes at the Radisson Show and Shine

The weather co-operated July 24 for Radisson's Show and Shine along Main St. On a sunny afternoon, 78 vintage cars and trucks, 15 vintage snowmobiles and three motorcycles were on display.

Gardens and yards are flourishing

Crops and gardens are looking healthy at present. It has been impossible until the last few days to work in the garden so the weeds are looking very healthy too. We have been enjoying garden produce including strawberries and raspberries.

Site needed for rare contemporary art

The city galleries are looking for a field with junked cars to act as a canvas to display the art of Tyler Brett. He's this year's featured artist for the fourth edition of the North Battleford Sculpture Symposium, titled Big Things.

Canoeists explore Battle River

Canoeing on the Battle River appears to be a popular recreation. Recently at least two groups have canoed from the Lashburn bridge to the Waseca bridge.

Storm knocks out power for 16 hours

Sunday the sun was shinning with temperatures expected to rise to the mid-20. The last number of days we have experienced heavy rains leaving the ground saturated making it impossible to do field or garden work.
