Reception sheds light on exhibition

Don't miss the reception for the "Transmitting Light" exhibition this Saturday, July 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery. The artists will discuss their inspiration and how they created the final piece from the concept.

June 15 - Kelly and Ray Gabruch stopped by to visit Tillie Linkert on their way home to Medicine Hat. Shirley James picked up her mom Tillie Linkert, Jean Stewart, Anne Reeds and I and took us to Waseca to Country Blend.

Maidstone Drop In Centre

Bingo was played June 8 at the Maidstone Drop InCentre with Margaret MacEachern and Jean Smith doing the calling. The loonie pot was won and divided between Jean Hartman and Dorothy Harmel. Lunch was provided by Lil McMillan.

We would like to wish Lil McMillan a belated Birthday greetings. Lil celebrated her birthday on July 3 with her family. July 1 started out rather damp. We were watching the parade go by the apartments.

An enjoyable summer is upon us again. It is good to see the gardens and flowers growing so nicely. Many residents are away enjoying travel or family arriving from quite far away.

Activities wind down for the summer

Here it is already the end of June. How time flies. There were many happy smiles going around here after the wonderful rain recently. Now if we can just get the weatherman to give some nice sunny weather it would be great.
