Maidstone Drop In Centre

Bingo was played June 8 at the Maidstone Drop InCentre with Margaret MacEachern and Jean Smith doing the calling. The loonie pot was won and divided between Jean Hartman and Dorothy Harmel. Lunch was provided by Lil McMillan.

Kaiser was played June 13 with high score going to Mary Lundell and low to Lil McMillan. Hosting and providing lunch was Lil McMillan.

Bingo was played June 15 with a good crowd in attendance. Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern did the calling. Lunch was provided by Dorothy Schwartz.

The annual Father's Day strawberry tea was held June 17 with a good attendance. Thank you to all who brought the baking for the bake table. The Father's Day prizes were won by Ray Hartman, Milt McMillan and Frances Petterson. Door prize went to George Danychuck. Thank you to those who donated prizes, helped with the serving and made the afternoon a financial and social success.

Catch the four tens whist was played June 20 with a good turn out. Hosting and providing lunch were Hettie Richardson and Jean Hartman. High score went to Lil McMillan and low to Dorothy Kissick.

Bingo was played June 22 with Joan Smith and Jean Hartman doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Joan Smith and Tillie Linkert. The loonie pot was won by Vera Mitchell.

The May-June potluck birthday supper was held Friday June 24 with 30 seniors in attendance. Seated at the birthday table was Dorothy Harmel and Bev Stewart. Missing were Jessie Buckley, May Newsted, Helen Ross and Doreen Hope. Following a delicious supper the Yellowhead Ramblers provided entertainment with their toe-tapping music. Entertainers were Bill McGillvary, Allen Hinde, Ross Currie, Walter Polinsku and at the keyboard Jean McPherson. Big thanks to them!

The only up coming event for July and August is the birthday supper Aug. 19 starting at 3 p.m. with a evening meal at 5 p.m.

Exercises, cards, bingo and monthly meetings will not be held for the months of July and August but will resume in September. Have a healthy, happy summer. See you in the fall.
