Mickey Vargo was born on July 23, 1924 in the Otthon District of Saskatchewan. In May of 1928, the family moved to a farm in the Rokeby area. Mickey attended Rokeby School and after completing his education he helped out on the family farm.
Anton Jakubiec of the Ituna Pioneer Lodge, formerly of Yorkton passed away peacefully on May 15, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville. He was 90 years of age. Anton was born in Kalna, Poland, on June 10, 1923.
