We wish Theresa Kennedy a happy belated birthday. Her family treated her to a Chinese supper at the home of her daughter, Kim and Jackie Gerbig. Her family members were all there including the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The recreation board for the RM of Glenside held their first meeting of a new season Sept. 5, at the home of Linda Hardenne of Lizard Lake. Attending were members from Baljennie and Lizard Lake.

Borden's 25th annual Threshing Day was held on a beautiful hot day, Sept 24, and over 400 people were at the site north of Borden to watch the different events and have soup, borscht, bread, jam and beverages at the McCheane-Wake cook car.

The high daytime temperatures are unusual for this time of year. Sunday the temperature was 30 C. It is good for harvest, which will be close to 小蓝视频 finished by the end of this week.

The students at H. Hardcastle School have been busy for the past two weeks. The junior volleyball teams held their annual learning tournament on Sept. 10 with several teams joining them.

Radisson Royal Purple held their first meeting after the summer break Sept. 12 at the home of Roberta Harris with seven members present.

Former Maymont residents and recording artists Saskia and Darrel have included their former community in their most recent tour promoting their new CD, Songbirds. The entertainment duo will perform at Maymont Memorial Hall Saturday, Nov.

The sun shone bright for the guests, exhibitors and musical entertainers Sunday Sept. 18 as Honeywood (Dr. A. J. Porter) Heritage Nursery held its annual Touch of Autumn event.

The halls at Maymont School are once again full and active as a new school year begins. We are pleased to welcome our new principal, Mr. Sean Lockwood.

He didn't start out with a lot of support. He ran it anyway. Terry Fox, 31 years ago, decided to run across Canada to help raise funds for cancer research. We all know his remarkable story.
