Beginning on November 22 and for each of the 40 days thereafter a photograph of a Kamsack woman will be shown on a billboard in Times Square in New York City.

Ken Thompson, the deputy fire chief for the Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department, was the special guest at a fire prevention assembly at Victoria School on Friday.

In less than two weeks a new bus service will have begun, transporting passengers from Kamsack and Canora to Yorkton and Regina.

The wind that howled across Saskatchewan last week made its presence known in the Kamsack area on Tuesday around 1 a.m. by its sound, and by leaving much of the area without electrical power.

A highlight of the annual Christmas in November sale of crafts and products handled by home-based businesses at the OCC Hall on November 19 is sure to be the display of copies of a children’s book that will be having its Kamsack debut.

Four trucks bearing the four segments of Kamsack’s new liquor store arrived Monday morning in time for it to be set onto its concrete footing, assembled and ready for opening on October 31.
