聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 In less than two weeks a new bus service will have begun, transporting passengers from Kamsack and Canora to Yorkton and Regina.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 DiCal Transport of Melville plans to begin offering the service on November 7, said Diane Smith, who with her husband Calvin, owns and operates DiCal Transport.
Initially, the company plans to use a 15-passenger van which will be hauling a trailer for luggage, Smith explained. The service will start by offering transportation each Tuesday and Thursday, leaving Kamsack from the Petro-Canada service station at 8:30 a.m. and then pick up or drop off passengers at Canora, Yorkton and Melville before arriving in Regina at 12:30 p.m.
In Regina, passengers have the option of 小蓝视频 let off at either of the General or Plains hospitals or the airport, Smith said. Passengers can then board the bus at any of the three stops to return to Melville, Yorkton, Canora or Kamsack to arrive back in Kamsack at about 9:15 p.m.
DiCal has been offering a bus service from Yorkton and Melville to Regina since July 10, she said.
鈥淲e鈥檙e doing this one step at a time,鈥� she said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e beginning with a 15-passenger van going twice a week, but can expand the service if there鈥檚 a demand.
鈥淲e鈥檒l see how it goes,鈥� she said, adding that the company has a fleet of 14 vehicles from SUVs to a five-ton truck and employs six trained and qualified drivers.
In order to book passage, passengers must call the DiCal phone number in Melville to book their seats and then they will be asked to pay the driver by either cash or debit or credit card.
鈥淲e encourage passengers to book their seats as early as possible,鈥� she said.
The fare from Kamsack to Regina is $85 or $80 for a senior, child or student.
