Two girl's teams from Saskatchewan, one local and one with local players picked up, are heading to Western Canadians, looking to put the previous couple weeks behind them and play some solid softball.

Don Dupuis was born in Ontario Sept. 17, 1937, as the oldest of four boys. Later his family packed up and headed west to Saskatchewan and made their home in Bienfait. At a young age, Dupuis started playing and coaching baseball.

Hosts lose in semis of AA provincials

The Wilkie Athletics, with players from the Battlefords, Wilkie and Unity hosted the midget AA provincials last weekend in North Battleford after playing the regular season as the name Unity Midgets.
