Two days, 148 competitors, 15 teams and 23 local medals.
That's how things shaped up at the 2011 Summer Speed Swimming Provincials, held in Humboldt July 30-31.
Swimming got underway on Saturday morning after a short opening СÀ¶ÊÓƵ, and the last competitor got out of the pool on Sunday afternoon.
Swimmers from clubs from all over the province - Humboldt, Assiniboia, Biggar, Estevan, Gravelbourg, Melfort, Melville, Nipawin, Oxbow, Regina, Rosetown, Swift Current, Watrous, Weyburn and from the south east area of the province - competed at this Provincials event.
Seventeen local swimmers - members of the Humboldt Hammerheads Swim Team - took part in the meet - the same number who competed at Northerns the week before.
"Everyone who went to the semifinals qualified for Provincials," noted club president Leanne Dillabough on July 30.
