Senior clubs across Saskatchewan, including Preeceville and Sturgis, are sharing memories in celebration of Canada's 150 th anniversary, said Maureen Johnson.

Eldeen Pozniak, former resident of the Endeavour and Preeceville areas, was invited to, and attended, a Royal Garden Party held at Buckingham Palace in London, England on May 25.

Along with the featured chariot and chuckwagon races, there were numerous other activities to keep everyone busy at the Preeceville and District Lions club western weekend on July 14 to 16.

Shae Peterson of Sturgis was one of three Sturgis lacrosse players who were invited to be part of the Yorkton Fighting Pikes lacrosse team in the lacrosse provincials held in Prince Albert on July 8 and 9.

Annie Chimko of Preeceville celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family on July 8.

Motorcycle enthusiasts gathered for what was billed as 鈥渁 great cause鈥� at the second annual RHF Bike Rally in Stenen on June 23, 24 and 25.

The Kelvington 4-H Beef Club held its awards night on June 27, which began with a steak supper with members, their parents, buyers and sponsors. The club recognized the accomplishments of its members and the support received from sponsors and buyers.

The Sturgis Station House Museum featured Canada 150 celebrations on July 5. The museum grounds featured a trade show with six vendors.

The Preeceville and District Heritage Museum brought back a taste of the past on June 30 with a 1950s fun night. The evening kicked off with volunteers dressing up in 1950鈥檚 apparel.
