ECD junior badminton

The East Central Districts of high school badminton took place last Tuesday afternoon at the Yorkton Regional High School May 3. Morgan Shymanski and Rita Fetsch of Sacred Heart placed first and third in the girls' singles category.

In the 2010-11 season the wrestling team attended two tournaments, one at Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon and Regionals in Swift Current. Jessica Riffel won a gold medal at Bedford, silver at regionals and a bronze at provincials.

Deer Park golf dates

The 2011 golf schedule has been released by Deer Park Municipal golf course and includes 12 dates to mark on your calendars. The season has just started and the first date to mark is May 27 for the 20th Annual Richie Hall classic.

The City of Yorkton parks staff has begun works on Patrick Park to establish a course designed to introduce the sport of dis golf. Holes were filled last Friday morning and baskets were set in place for the game.
