Library to feature adult programs

The Weyburn Public Library will have a number of programs running through July for adults to enjoy and take in, in addition to the children's summer reading program which is ongoing each week.

The Weyburn Public Library has several upcoming programs to help fill the summer months. The Summer Reading Program is for children aged six to 12 and takes place Monday to Thursday until August 15.

New pool - highlight of Canada Day celebration

The new outdoor swimming pool was officially opened to the public on July 1 at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. This was held in conjunction with the City's Canada Day celebration. About 935 children and adults registered to swim on the 1st.

Silver Seals compete in Assiniboia

Nineteen members of the Weyburn Silver Seals speed swimming club attended the Assiniboia Aquatics Swim Club meet on July 3. Four swimmers won overall medals at the meet.

Chamber names Fair Parade winners

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce held their annual Fair Parade on July 5 as a kick-off to this year's 102nd Exhibition. The Chamber chose three parade entry winners in separate categories.
