Weyburn dog trainer Russ Roome showcased the abilities of his sheepherding dog Jill at the Heritage Village Days on Friday and Saturday. He also had a guest dog handler, Barbara Lloyd of Regina, with her dog Pearl. They showed how a dog could keep perfect control of a group of sheep by using hand signals or whistles.

Many activities, demos at Weyburn's Heritage Village Days

The Heritage Village in Weyburn was a busy place on Friday and Saturday with activities and demonstrations, along with guides available in most of the buildings and houses in the village. The entertainment tent was kept busy on both days, and a food booth provided barbecued burgers and pie and ice cream.

The City of Weyburn hosted the annual Tatagwa Tree Day event on August 6,, to plant approximately 135 coniferous and deciduous trees. There were over 30 people who registered to help plant the trees.
