Weyburn area residents taste the 'Flavours of Fall' expo

Residents crowded the Weyburn Exhibition Hall to take in the Flavours of Fall, which returned after not 小蓝视频 held the last two years due to COVID. Around 30 vendors were on hand, including restaurants, breweries and distilleries from Weyburn and throughout Saskatchewan, offering many flavours and tastes for people to try out.

Grades 8 and 9 students at St. Michael School had a day of faith-based activities and discussions, as the NET Ministries came in to hold the event, starting with some fun ice-breaker games in the gym. While this was going on, Fr. Valentine Amobi held a mass for the Grade 7 class in the school's chapel, and Grade 4 students received their Bibles.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles girls soccer team hosted the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones for a game at the WCS soccer field on Saturday. The game was very close, and ended in a 1-0 score for Moose Jaw.

Walk for Reconciliation held with "treaty timeline" along the way

A Walk for Reconciliation was held on Friday in Jubilee Park, to mark National Truth and Reconciliation Day in Weyburn, with information posts about the "treaty timeline" along the way. The walk, a Culture Days event, was introduced by Regan Lanning of the Weyburn Arts Board, who did the research and compiling of information about the timeline from before Europeans arrived through to the present day.

Movietime under the stars with Weyburn Artistic Swim Club

The Weyburn Artistic Swim Club held their annual fundraising Cinema Under the Stars, with a double-feature drive-in held on Saturday evening on the Weyburn fair grounds. The movies were the animated feature, "Minions: The Rise of Gru", and the adventure-thriller "Uncharted". Members of the swim club and their parents helped with the concession booth and parking, and the Prairie Sky Co-op had a booth with prize give-aways for those attending.

Smashing good times at Weyburn Ag Society's 'Fall Brawl' demo derby

Cars, trucks and modified vehicles had a smash-up fun time at the Weyburn Ag Society's "Fall Brawl" Demo Derby, put on by the 小蓝视频east Demo Derby Association on Saturday afternoon, in front of the grandstands on the Weyburn exhibition grounds. There were two full heats of cars, a truck heat, a modified heat, consolation round and the feature final in front of an appreciative crowd in the stands.

St. Michael students, staff walk for Terry Fox Foundation

St. Michael School took part in the national Terry Fox School Run on Friday afternoon, walking over to Jubilee Park and making a couple loops of the parkway. The students contributed donations for the Terry Fox Foundation, and walked memory of his attempt to cross Canada to raise funds for cancer research.

Weyburn Comp Eagles host practice with Minor Football teams

All three age divisions of Weyburn Minor Football had a practice on Thursday evening, with the members of the Weyburn Comp Eagles football team assisting in running the drills at the WMF Field, along with the team coaches.
