The Nickle Lake Market, crafts, slo-pitch and live music were all part of Nickle Lake Day on Saturday.

Midale's Pioneer Echoes event, with a parade of antique tractors and threshing demonstration, was held Saturday and Sunday, along with opening the heritage village where one could find fried bread, saskatoon pie and ice cream, and the rock-climbing wall.

A roster of 15 cowboys went head-to-head over two rounds against some of the top bulls in the rodeo world at Midale's 14th annual Bull Bash on Friday evening.

Children in the College for Kids summer program at 小蓝视频east College took part in sports week this week, including a visit from five Weyburn Red Wings, and from the Weyburn Lacrosse Association, along with Weyburn Soccer. They played some road hockey with the Red Wings, and learned game basics about soccer and lacrosse.

Groups of children from two Weyburn summer programs, Sunny Scholars from the Family Place, and the Fun in the Sun program from the Weyburn Leisure Centre, took tours of the Weyburn Police station on July 26, with Const. Lisa Robertson providing the tour of the facility. For many of the children, it was a chance to say hello to Beaumont, the WPS Victim Service dog.

Over 500 swimmers from clubs all over Saskatchewan converged on the Weyburn Leisure Centre's outdoor pool for the two-day provincial swim meet. A banquet is set for Saturday night, and the keynote speaker is Olympic bronze medalist Chantal van Landeghem of Winnipeg. Weyburn last hosted the provincials in 2014.
