Estevan has long been known as the Energy City, and coal mining is a big part of our moniker.

Although I’ve always been an outgoing person, during this past year I’ve gone out of my way to encourage everyone I meet. Mask-wearing has made the adventure even more interesting since I’m never quite sure who I’m talking to.

Stick to the plan. Stay the course. Don’t deviate. There are things to do and places to be. I love making plans, especially when heading out on vacations.

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe said some things this week that were very different in his bluntness. He spoke to those who aren’t yet vaccinated — especially those who are refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and are encouraging others not to get it.

Sympathy to Ingrid Hansen, Lawrence and Norma on the passing of Knud Hansen. He passed away at Deer View Lodge on May 16 at age 90. A private funeral service was requested.

I hope everyone had a good long weekend and got to do whatever it was you were planning on doing or getting done. Usually this long weekend in May means camping for many of you, but it may have been on the chilly side this year.
