That is how senior baseball is supposed to be played. Friday night, the undefeated North Battleford Beavers took on the 5-1 Wilkie Brewers at Beavers Lions Stadium.

Two days of beautiful weather produced some great scores for 44 ladies golfing at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club. Kathy Ziglo competed in the individual championship flight in the Ladies' Northwest Open.

Orcas make big splash at Regina swim meet

The local swim club sent just seven swimmers to the Lawson Aquatic Centre in Regina May 14 to 16, but those seven produced 33 top 10 finishes. The busiest swimmer representing the Orcas at the meet was Katie Serhienko. Katie swam in 14 races.

The Humboldt Legion Swim Team (HLST) held their sprint meet on June 12 at the Aquatic Centre. There were 77 swimmers at the meet from different clubs across the province, 17 swimmers from Humboldt.

Survivors and Unity Bantams split double-header

The Unity Bantam Panthers were ready to play in the first game of a Battlefords and District Ladies' Fastball League double-header. In Unity, the Panthers won 18-8 in game one. Shelby Solomko was the winning pitcher as Dyan Demkiw took the loss.

No shortage of offence in NSRBL

Tuesday and Wednesday produced plenty of offence in the five North Saskatchewan River Baseball League games. Tuesday night, the Kindersley Raiders doubled their win total as they beat Edam 13-9 in Kindersley.
