A District No. 45 4-H council meeting was held Oct. 20 in Hillmond. On the agenda were elections and committee formation. District president is Christina Jones and junior president is Michael Jones.

Today is the day all the Christmas displays and decorations should begin. I am a big fan of Christmas but dislike the hype that starts in October. I long for the 'good ole days' when Christmas was a December event.

Maymont Centeral School Grade 5 to 9 students travelled to Saskatoon Nov. 24 to the Broadway Theatre. They watched an adaptation of Twelfth Night performed by Persephone Theatre.

This week , several new extra-curricular activities are starting up. Last weekend, the senior girls' volleyball team went to Rosetown for provincials. Although, they did not make it to playoffs, they worked hard and had a great experience.
