Police investigating after pedestrian assaulted, threatened with gun

Saskatoon Police say that a 32-year-old woman reported she was walking north on Munroe Ave. when a man got out of a car, assaulted her and threatened her with a handgun.

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police are investigating an assault that happened this morning at Munroe Avenue and Colony Street.

A 32-year-old woman reported that she was walking north on Munroe Ave., at approximately 6:50 a.m., Dec. 6 when an unknown male approached her. 

He got out of a grey car, threatened her with what appeared to be a handgun, struck her with the weapon and then fled in the vehicle. The woman believed the car may have been driven by an unknown female.  The male suspect is described as an Indigenous male, 5-foot-8, with a thin build. He was wearing a white hoodie and grey pants.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at the scene.
