About 200 people, both children and adults, learned to swim at the Kamsack Swimming Pool this summer, according to information compiled by the Kamsack recreation department.

A woman from Cote First Nation began work as a teacher at the Keeseekoose Chiefs Education Centre at the beginning of the term. Farrah Pelly was hired to teach the grades 4 and 5 classroom.

Two teachers new to the Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex began working at the school this month. Melissa Johnstone, a member of Mistawasis First Nation, was hired to teach Grade 1 students.

Like many other district backyard gardeners, Jack Leis of Kamsack has been busy harvesting the remainder of the produce that was grown during the summer season.
