Weyburn skies light up with Canada Day fireworks show

The City of Weyburn held their annual Canada Day fireworks show at the end of day on July 1, firing the colourful rockets from the west end of the fair grounds. Thousands of residents packed the fair grounds and the parking lots across the highway by Sims Avenue, to watch the celebration of Canada's birthday.

Canada Day was celebrated with a bike parade at Nickle Lake Regional Park on Saturday morning, with bright red-and-white decorations on the bikes. Children were able to take part in Canada Day crafts later, and an open-air market was held in the park area near the Beaver's Den. Later in the day, the Souris River Smoke BBQ competition will begin, and live entertainment will be held.
