Houligan Acres, a farm located just east of Weyburn, held a weekend of family visits for hunting Easter eggs, and visiting their baby animals, with the Easter weekend already mostly booked. They have baby goats, ducks, chicks and bunnies, and offer families horse rides as well as photos with the Easter bunny.

Vilcu鈥檚 Karate Klub聽hosted around 150 athletes for the annual karate tournament in the Eagle gym, with clubs attending from throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Hundreds of dancers, from 20 dance studios around Saskatchewan, converged on Weyburn for the聽four-day Inspirations of Dance competition, now in its 15th year.

Dale Paslawski of the Weyburn Wildlife Federation brought out his collection of furs, skins and antlers to the Family Place on March 5, giving a presentation to two different groups of children. He had a selection that included fox, bear, deer, coyotes and wolves, among others, and antlers and horns from a variety of animals including moose and deer.

The Fifth Weyburn Scouts troop held their annual Kub Kar races on Saturday, with judging at noon and races afterward. They received support from the Weyburn Wildlife Federation for the pizza lunch for the parents and families who attended.

Instructor Sherry Klemmer taught two classes on how to create Ukrainian Easter eggs, at the Weyburn Public Library on Saturday. She took them step-by-step through the process of drawing a design, and dying the eggs in layers before ending with the final product.

Games are happening Saturday and Sunday.

This photo gallery shows examples of grades from each of the elementary schools in Weyburn, taking part in Pink Shirt Day for Feb. 28. They include classes from Assiniboia Park, Legacy Park and St. Michael Schools. The day promotes kindness and anti-bullying, as well as inclusivity.

Weyburn and area children were able to take part in the February Break Camp at the Credit Union Spark Centre, from Feb. 20-23, plus families had free swimming available on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, sponsored by CUPE. The camp had a variety of recreational and art-craft activities each day during the week.
