WEYBURN – The classes of Legacy Park Elementary School recorded three different Christmas musicals, and these were shared virtually with the families online.
The musicals were directed by music teacher Holly Butz, with staff helping with their class parts in each play. Each of the performances were recorded and photographed by Cornerstone staff member Calli Cugnet.
“’Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas” was recorded in the afternoon on Dec. 13 and performed by Grade 6, all Grade 5 classes and Kindergarten.
Just like the poem by Clement Clark Moore, ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse … but that’s not right! The mice are running through the snow, the kids are sleeping on the floor, three Santas come down the chimney, and everyone is hiding from the mistletoe.
“The Greatest Snowman” was recorded in the afternoon on Dec. 14 and performed by Grade 6, Pre-K, Kindergarten and all Grade 1 and 4 students.
Every 100 years Santa takes a break. Auditions are 小蓝视频 held to find a replacement for Santa this year. Literally everyone wants an opportunity to fill in for Santa including the Tooth Fairy, reindeer, elves, princesses, Elvis, Jack Frost and even the Easter Bunny! But it is one special snowperson who sees the good in all people no matter what that Santa finds to be great enough for the honour.
“Forty Winks ‘til Christmas” was recorded in the afternoon on Dec. 15 and performed by Grade 6, and all Grade 2 and 3 students.
The cousins are coming for a holiday sleepover, but when sleepiness begins to take over, the toys decide it’s time to ‘liven’ things up. Imagine the fun all the cousins will have at a sleepover with all their favourite toys and a special visit from the jolly red fella and his elves.
