It's official the minor hockey season has begun and there's nothing more pleasing than the sound of the Carlyle Sports Arena full of energetic hockey players.

The school volleyball season wrapped up last week. The grade 8 girls' volleyball team went to Oxbow for playoffs on November 9. The girls played hard but came up short in the playoff round.

The town of Carlyle is now approaching one full year of service with Regens Waste Disposal for household waste removal, and it has been a half-a-year since the curb-side recycling had been adopted by the town.
