It's that time of year again. The Red Barn flea market is open for business. Opening July 3, the market place was packed with people shopping, mingling and taking in this year's vendors.

Carlyle C 10 & under boys team played Redvers and defeated them to advance to the final. Carlyle D team played Wawota and defeated them to advance to the final. Carlyle C beat Carlyle D in the final 7-5 to take the league.

Pause for Reflection

A lawyer had a jury trial in a very difficult business case. The client who had attended the trial was out of town when the jury came back with its decision, which was for the lawyer and his client.

It's a matter of perspective

For Powell River it was quite the traffic jam. There were at least half a dozen cars waiting their turn at a four-way stop.
