REGINA - Severe thunderstorm warnings now cover several regions of the province according to Environment Canada.
Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- R.M. of Biggar including Biggar and Springwater
- R.M. of Marriott south of Biggar
- R.M. of St Andrews including Rosetown and Zealandia
At 3:40 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
One of these severe thunderstorms are located 10 km east of Rosetown and another is near Biggar. They are moving to the southeast at 30 km/h.
Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- R.M. of Bratt's Lake including Wilcox Corinne and Estlin
- R.M. of Sherwood including Grand Coulee
At 3:29 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
These severe thunderstorms are located between 10 and 40 km southwest of Regina and moving to the southeast at 25 km/h.
Heavy rainfall is likely with this cluster.
Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- R.M. of Happy Valley including Big Beaver
At 2:50 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm is located 20 km northeast of Big Beaver and is moving southeast at 15 km/h.
Severe thunderstorm warning ended for:
- R.M. of Pense including Pense Belle Plaine and Stony Beach
- R.M. of Redburn including Rouleau and Hearne
The areas in red on the map are currently under severe thunderstorm warnings while those in yellow are still under severe thunderstorm watches. Watches are in effect for Regina, Saskatoon, Estevan-Weyburn-Radville-Milestone, Martensville-Warman-Rosthern-Delisle-Wakaw, Outlook-Watrous-Hanley-Imperial-Dinsmore, Swift Current-Herbert-Cabri-Kyle-Lucky Lake, and the Battlefords-Unity-Maidstone-St. Walburg.
