REGINA - Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for two regions in Saskatchewan.
Warnings have been issued for within the Assiniboia-Gravelbourg-Coronach region and for Moose Jaw-Pense-Central Butte-Craik region.
At 2:02 P.M. CST, a Severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for:
- R.M. of Bengough including Bengough
At 2:02 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm is located near 10 km south of Bengough and is moving southeast at 25 km/h.
At 2:28 P.M. CST Thursday, a Severe thunderstorm warning was issued for:
- R.M. of Pense including Pense Belle Plaine and Stony Beach
- R.M. of Redburn including Rouleau and Hearne
Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions. Watch for updated statements.
Severe thunderstorm warnings for City of Moose Jaw, and R.M. of Moose Jaw including Pasqua and Bushell Park have been lifted.
The areas in red on the map are currently under severe thunderstorm warnings while those in yellow are still under severe thunderstorm watches. Watches are in effect for Regina, Saskatoon, Estevan-Weyburn-Radville-Milestone, Fort Qu'Appelle-Indian Head-Lumsden-Pilot Butte, Kindersley-Rosetown-Biggar-Wilkie-Macklin, Martensville-Warman-Rosthern-Delisle-Wakaw, Outlook-Watrous-Hanley-Imperial-Dinsmore, Swift Current-Herbert-Cabri-Kyle-Lucky Lake, and the Battlefords-Unity-Maidstone-St. Walburg.
