Heavenly. Epic. Wonderful. These are all words used to describe the Dec. 12 performance of Handel's Messiah, held at Battleford United Church.

Santa Claus Day was held in Radisson with Santa arriving by horse and wagon, driven by Stu Walton and his team of Belgians, Buck and Cindy. Many bags of candy were handed out to the kids, compliments of the Radisson Fire Department.

The Manitou Creative Quilters held a special evening Nov. 26 when Anna Hergert, a professional fibre artist came to the Neilburg Seniors' Centre to speak to the local quilters.

Yes I blew it! Last time I reported that the Hoffnungsfelder Mennonite Women In Mission raised $180 at their evening Mission Sale. That is hardly notable, however the correct total of $1,870 is worth mentioning. Good job to the Women in Mission.

The Senior Citizens Action Now Club held its annual Christmas dinner Dec. 8, combining the event with their regular members' birthday celebration, which takes place every two months.

Christmas isn't just for the kids and in Maidstone the seniors prove it can be the most wonderful time of the year. Sunday evening the Seniors' Drop-In Centre hosted their annual Christmas supper and program.

Twenty members of the Rivers Edge Quilters met at the Don Ross craft room Dec. 7 for the final meeting of a successful year. Members meet regularly throughout the year to work on a variety of projects for themselves and for the community.
