A Battleford man accused of sexual assault against minors will return to court next week. David Smith appeared by video link from Saskatoon in provincial court in North Battleford July 19.

Ed, my neighbor next door, thought he was free of me for three weeks, but I fooled him. This week I had to e-mail his wife Ruby to pass a message on to Ed. Ruby is a veteran of computer use, but Ed refuses to have anything to do with it.

Dear Editor I would like to respond to "Keep RHL for seniors" (Regional Optimist June 25). I am the mother of one of the under age 40 residents who is occupying a bed at River Heights Lodge.

When people think of River Heights Lodge, they often think of it as a senior's lodge. Lorraine Wright, a special care aide at the facility, has worked there for the past 17 years and has noticed in recent years the admittance of younger patients.

Chris Hodge, a transplant from Ontario, uses acrylics, watercolours, metal sculpture and mixed media to interpret the prairie landscape. He sees a depth in the simplicity of the landscape and uses various methods to recreate this view in his work.

Dear editor Most of us carry warm thoughts of "home". Home is where we go for rest, nourishment, and the comfort of things and people familiar to us. Some of us require the assistance of other people to help us live in our own homes.

I'm a creature who loves my comforts. They're simple comforts and I've found them almost everywhere I've ever been. Once my basic needs are covered I find I can easily make myself at home. Last week on the river I found a new home.
