Dear Editor; For over seven years we have been struggling with our neighbours, our municipality and provincial government bodies to find a solution to a problem that keeps getting worse every year.

Few people would argue against making environmental review processes and regulations more efficient - as long as they're effective. But changes announced in the recent federal budget don't do that.

Dear Editor, I would like to take this time to say congratulations to everyone involved in Football Night in Saskatchewan. Once again the incredible support shown by Yorkton was amazing.

I want to say a public thank-you to the emails of support I got from last week's column concerning the overkill traffic blitz that was held in Yorkton a couple of weeks ago. A few people asked if I was sour because I, in fact, got a ticket. No.

To suggest that the federal Conservative government are taking its rural Saskatchewan base for granted might be seen by some as a tad unfair.

You and I have talked of many things, of garden hopes and garden dreams and plants and springs but I don't think we have ever talked about the luscious strawberry.

In retrospect, I ought to have paid more attention when I first noticed the slight hiss in the basement. But it barely registered - until I went downstairs for something else, hours later.

I have a big problem with what went on in Yorkton last Thursday and Friday with regards to the enforcement of traffic laws and the City RCMP. In my opinion, traffic offenses are not at an epidemic level here.

A colleague told me his toddler was wandering through a neighbourhood park picking up twigs and sticks, brandishing them as tools for digging, poking, and tapping. Suddenly the boy stopped and pointed excitedly to the canopy of branches above.

Dear Editor: The Federal Government is attacking democracy in Canada. Farmers lost the Wheat Pool a few years ago. Its demise was brought about by legislation that killed the Crow Rate.
