The School Community Council (SCC) at Kamsack is asking residents to join it in a fight against the minister of education who has decided to spend Kamsack school tax money for another purpose.

One student in each of the four Good Spirit School Division schools in the Kamsack district was named a 2015 Student of Distinction, while three teachers at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute received the Sea Stars Making a Difference Award.

A few Kamsack youngsters, who as Earth Rangers are keen to save endangered animals, are pleased with the response they had for their outdoor iced tea fundraising sale in August.

About 250 people took lessons at the Kamsack Swimming Pool over the 67 days that it was open during the summer.

The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute’s annual Fun Night, when the senior students organize a gymnasium full of games of chance and invite the community’s children to try their luck and win prizes, was held at the school on October 27.
