Several items regarding the Norquay Trade Show, which was held March 18 and 19 were discussed by members of the Norquay Recreation Board during its regular meeting of March 14.

By Christine Filipowich-Lukey The Norquay and District Chamber of Commerce鈥檚 24 th annual Trade Show was held March 18 and 19 with the Minions as the special guests on March 18 when they toured the booths and were photographed.

The Rick Kinaschuk rink of Arran topped the annual Norquay Men鈥檚 Bonspiel which was held March 17 to 20 with 16 rinks participating. Out-of-town rinks were from Pelly, Arran, Canora and Preeceville. A banquet was held Friday night.

It came down to the third and deciding game but the Preeceville Midget Pats, on which are players from Pelly and Norquay, won the Major Hockey League B-side banner in overtime before a packed home-town crowd on March 20.

The Bob Roll rink of Canora topped Kamsack鈥檚 Club 55 bonspiel which concluded with a banquet on March 23. A total of 16 rinks were entered in the bonspiel which was held March 21 to 23, said Lloyd Thomas, president of Club 55.

Students at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute and Norquay School were among about 20,000 Saskatchewan students who voted in a mock provincial election on March 23 and 24, but the results will not be published until the polls close in the actual pol
