Canora Composite School hosted an assembly in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 27.

From Sept. 23-27, students and staff at Canora Junior Elementary School brought into focus the significance of Truth & Reconciliation Day (Sept. 30).,

The fight started over a property dispute. Weapons seized on scene included a shovel, pitchfork, axe handle, and a crowbar.

Census Division 9 – Calder, Canora, Pelly, Preeceville, Sheho and Yorkton areas; Census Division 10 – Foam Lake, Kelliher, Leroy, Raymore and Wadena areas; Census Division 11 – Davidson, Colonsay, Langham, Lanigan, Nokomis, Outlook and Saskatoon areas.

In June of 2023, Mounties were called to a home in the Calder district, to conduct a wellness check on 61-year-old Bentley Bauming. He was found dead.

RCMP say the accused was known to the victim, 21-month-old Lorenzo Cote.

Like many other farmers across the region, the crew at Ostafie’s Seed Farm near Canora was getting close to the end of this year's harvest in late September and early October.

For every litre of fuel pumped during the day, 10 cents is СÀ¶ÊÓƵ donated towards local community groups.

Runners from Canora Junior Elementary School and Canora Composite School were on the CCS track for the Terry Fox Run on Sept. 25.

For the Cobras, the home opener is scheduled for Nov. 30 at the Civic Centre versus Wapella.
