REGINA — Seventeen Regina students have been honoured for their academic achievements and contributions to the community.
During a city council meeting, Councillor Lori Bresciani introduced the recipients of the 2024 Henry Baker Scholarship.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to the 17 remarkable recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship" said Bresciani.
"The City of Regina takes great pride in supporting these students who have not only excelled academically but have also shown a deep commitment to community service. Their dedication inspires us all.”
This year’s scholarship recipients showcase diverse academic goals and volunteer work. Their future aspirations include careers in medicine, energy systems engineering, pediatric care and physical therapy. Their community involvement spans organizations such as Educating Youth in Engineering and Science (EYES), the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Special Olympics and more.
The 2024 recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship, valued at $2,000 each, are:

The City of Regina established its scholarship program in 1990, and in 1997, it was renamed the Henry Baker Scholarship Program in honour of former mayor Henry Baker. Since then, the city has supported young people by recognizing academic excellence and community involvement through this program.
