Pitcher Jorde Chartrand of Weyburn and the 小蓝视频east Carnduff Steelers are back-to-back Canadian National women's softball champions, and Jorde was awarded two MVP awards.

Nickle Lake Regional Park held its annual "Halloween in the Park" on Saturday, with site judging, prizes for costumes, and treats by campsites for trick-or-treating in the evening. The day wrapped up with a "Transylvania Hotel" movie in the evening.

Dancers from De Tricky Feet dance studio provided entertainment at the tent in Weyburn's Heritage Village on Friday afternoon, showing what they had learned that day at dance camp. The finale was to bring up a parent to dance with.

Residents of Weyburn and area took in the many sights and sounds of Heritage VIllage Days, held Friday and Saturday. The activities ranged from rope-making, butter-making and ice cream making to visiting the homes of the Heritage Village and taking in live entertainment under the big tent, or enjoying a barbecued hot dog or hamburger.

A temporary detour will affect access to the Weyburn General Hospital this week, as the Second Street entrance will be temporarily closed.

The Weyburn Silver Seals speed-swimming club took 22 swimmers to provincials in Swift Current over the long weekend, and returned home with several medals.

The City of Weyburn鈥檚 Parks Department will hold their Tatagwa Tree Day on Saturday, Aug. 10 starting at 9 a.m. in River Park off Highway 39.
