WEYBURN - Wet slushy snow did not deter families from taking in the Santa Claus Parade, held on Saturday morning in Midale by the Plus One Club.
Some modifications to the usual parade practices were made, as most floats did not have people on them (except for two), and most did not throw their candy onto the slushy streets, but kept them for the after-party.
Santa and Mrs. Claus were the guests of honour at the Midale 39ers Club after for photos and meeting kids, and all of the candy that would've been thrown to the families were brought in, and kids could load up with handfuls of goodies.
In addition, the Plus One Club had a raffle, 50-50 draw and a hot dog lunch for $5 per person.
