My Nikkel’s Worth column

I got my two shots as soon as I was eligible. It wasn't a no-brainer by any means.

I couldn’t think of a better group of people to be with on the first day free of public health measures, or as most of us called them, restrictions.

To the Editor: Having recently read the article concerning the settlement reached with Wade Oberg, the former principal of the Weyburn Comprehensive School, I am left with several questions.

Loss comes in many forms, a relationship loss, a job loss, or a loss through death. Anytime we lose something or someone, it is usually followed by grief.

Quite some time ago, during week 11 of lockdown, I asked you to join me in a sing-a-long. With the passing of many months since then, I thought it might be a good time to join in song once again.

We can now go out and celebrate in Saskatchewan – that is, if we still remember how. After 16 months of COVID-19 restrictions, we may have forgotten how to party.

At the beginning of July, Alida increased its population by two – the community wishes to welcome Neil and Brenda Roberts (from B.C.) to our area. Welcome folks – I do hope you will enjoy our little town.
