The Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins were in action with a pair of games over the weekend. After a 5-4 loss in Yorkton on Friday, the Bruins improved their home record to 10-1-1-1 with a 5-3 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Sunday evening.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins had a weekend off from regular league play, and they used it to compete in, and win the Kelly Dmyterko Memorial tournament in Prince Albert.

Weyburn has been chosen as one of the communities to host the Moscow Atlant, a female bantam hockey team from Russia that will be touring through the southern part of Saskatchewan. The team will play at Crescent Point Place on Thursday, Dec. 16.

In a back and forth road game against the Notre Dame Hounds, Wings' Bruce Keegan opened the scoring at the 15:15 mark of the first period. Keegan took advantage of the Hounds on the power play with help from Dylan Coupal and Shawn Cowie.

The Moose Mountain Wild PeeWee Season is well underway - the team is currently sitting in first place with a 9-0 record. Returning vets are Jackson Granrude (Tender), Dawson Davidson (Forward), Austin Johnston and Kyle Sargent on Defence.

The Weyburn Pee Wee "AA" Young Fellows played two games at home this weekend against the Melville "AA" Millionaires with a loss and a win. On Saturday afternoon the Young Fellows hosted the Millionaires at Crescent Point Place losing 1 to 4.

After 30 years without any representation in the sport, Estevan Comprehensive fielded their first football team last year, much to the joy of fans of the game. But a Carlyle element has also taken hold, as six students from Gordon F.

Finally a win, and now the Saskatchewan Roughriders are on a high heading into the 2010 CFL playoffs.
