WEYBURN – Movie lovers in Weyburn, especially those who love the drive-in, will have the opportunity to catch two movies on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Weyburn Fair Grounds.
The Weyburn Artistic Swimming Club is hosting their annual fundraising “Cinema Under the Stars”, with two features for everyone to enjoy.
The gates open at 6 p.m., with the cost $40 for a carload.
The first movie, starting at 7:30 p.m., is a family feature, “Minions: The Rise of Gru”, and this will be followed at 9:30 p.m. with the movie, “Uncharted”, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg.
The Minions movie is an origins prequel to the “Despicable Me” animated series of movies, showing how the main character Gru became a super-villain.
Uncharted is the story of how a thief, Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), is recruited by a seasoned treasure hunter, Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg), to recover a fortune lost by Magellan.
There will be a concession available on the grounds.
This is a major fundraiser for the Weyburn Artistic Swimming Club, to assist with the cost of their programs and equipment.
