RADVILLE – Nelson Motors and Equipment announced their plan to construct a new store on the same lot as the existing store in Radville.
Nelson Motors and Equipment is establishing a foundation for growth in the future. This new construction aims to strengthen internal productivity with more space by giving space to bring equipment in and out of the shop effectively, have more floor space for the showroom and have more room to keep a more extensive inventory of parts on hand.
“We are committed to the communities we call home. Investing in this new building will help our team perform with more efficiency that will help meet our customer’s goals of producing and performing at their prime,” said Jaret Nelson, general manager.
“It will also have an impact on the local economy. Contractors will be in and out of the community, getting supplies, eating at restaurants and fueling up.”
The new building is expected to sit at 34,000 square feet, almost double the size of the existing space. The contractor chosen, Wright Construction Western Inc. helped build this province, including previous Nelson Motors and Equipment store builds.
Along the way, they have produced many Saskatchewan landmarks, including the original buildings of the University of Saskatchewan, Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina and the Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon.
“It will bring our store to the next level; it will have everything in one building compared to the three we are working out of now. It will give us quick access to parts and help with internal communications,” said Frank Tuchscherer, the store and sales manager for Nelson Motors and Equipment Radville’s branch.
“All of the team here are excited about the new shared spaces that will allow us to host clinics in-store with top-of-the-line technology. Specifically, ourshop team is excited to work more efficiently. The shop will be laid out better, allowing us to easily bring in different equipment prices without moving others around.”
This will be the fourth location out of the five locations that Nelson Motors and Equipment has updated since 2009. Construction is slated to start in December 2022.
