Midale will rock with bull-riding and threshing bee this weekend

The Bull Bash is back in Midale, along with the old-time threshing bee and rock-climbing wall

A full weekend of activities, from the return of the Bull Bash bull-riding event to the annual old-time threshing bee, will be featured in Midale for the Pioneer Echoes Days, from Friday, July 29, to Sunday, July 31.

The 14th annual Bull Bash and Cabaret will kick up the bull-riding action at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the rodeo grounds, located north of the school.

Tickets will be available at the gate, and the evening will include mutton-busting for the children.

The food booth and beer gardens will be open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., and a free cabaret will begin on 9 p.m. on Friday and 8 p.m. on Sunday, featuring Crossroads. (No minors allowed.)

A pancake breakfast and kids tractor pull will kick off both Saturday and Sunday, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Downtown Museum on Main Street.

The food booth will open (Beatz Eatz) from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., and the beer gardens will be open at the rodeo grounds from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The village concession, vendors and rock-climbing wall will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, and at the rodeo grounds there will 4-D Barrel Racing starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The antique tractor parade, featuring the antique tractors from the Souris Valley Antique Association, will begin at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with the live threshing to follow on the grounds.

A church service will be held in the Heritage Village on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.

A feature on Sunday only will be the Midale Classy Car Show-and-Shine from noon to 3 p.m.
