For the month of October, the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, along with the Meet Weyburn campaign, introduced a new initiative to encourage locals to support local with a ‘Chamber Bucks’ giveaway. If you purchased from a Chamber member between October 1-31, residents had the chance to bring receipts to our office, where their name was put in a draw. Their names were entered to win $1,000 in Chamber bucks.
Without further ado, the winner is Donna Kopec.
The Chamber was very pleased with how often their office doors opened in the past month, with receipts coming in. All these local purchases are strengthening the local economy.
“Congratulations to Donna Kopec. She has the opportunity to spend the $1,000 at many Weyburn Chamber businesses throughout the community,” said Larry Heggs, Executive Director of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce.
