Assiniboia Family Foods owners ready to serve

Assiniboia Family Foods strives to bring in all the items that people depend on and will go the extra mile if asked.

ASSINIBOIA - Assiniboia Family Foods is a Sobey’s Franchise, owned by Manish Patel, Rashmin Patel, both of Regina and Savan Patel of Assiniboia. The majority of the products come from Sobey’s.

“By providing excellent service and great quality products at competitive prices we will earn a market share in Assiniboia and community. We have seen how the community around Ogema loves our products and service there as well,” said co-owner Manish. Family Foods strives to bring in all the items that people depend on and will go the extra mile if asked. “If people ask us for something specific, we will do our best to get it on the next delivery.”

Free food delivery is offered in town for orders $25 or $30 minimum for those who are not capable of coming to Family Foods.  “Please provide cheque or cash upon delivery,” said manager and co-owner of Assiniboia Family Foods, Savan Patel who lives in town with his family.

“The community is very supportive,” said Savan.  “We are open to suggestions and concerns regarding the products and service. We want to serve the community as a family where everyone’s thoughts and opinions are respected.”

Free memberships are offered at Assiniboia Family Foods, and it’s very quick to enroll. “Whenever you come, just let the clerk know that you are a member and they will credit points to your account,” said Savan. “It’s like a rebate; you can buy whatever you need in the store with your points.”

Delivery trucks arrive on Mondays and Thursdays, so patrons can count on fresh food and produce throughout the week. With the cost of fuel, Manish is encouraging patrons to stay in town, support local business, and save money.

“We are large enough to serve you, and small enough to care.”
