Club to host polio fundraiser on Rotary Day

The Weyburn Rotary Club recently had March 30 proclaimed as Rotary Day in Weyburn and will host a concert to eradicate polio to celebrate.

Charity dance festival - April 1 to 3

The second annual Dance Nation Invitational Charity Dance Festival will see approximately 600 dancers converge on Weyburn from April 1 to 3. The festival is 小蓝视频 held at the Weyburn Junior High School.

Foothills Brass Quintet promises "serious fun"

Weyburn Concert Series is presenting their fifth concert of the season on Thursday, March 24. The Foothills Brass Quintet will be performing at the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Allie Griffin Art Gallery will be featuring the artwork of local junior high and high school students this month. "Youth View" will be on display from March 17 to 30.

Industrial Electric is nominated for a 2011 Torch Award from the Better Business Award. They are nominated in the Industrial Products and Services, and awards will be presented at the Queensbury Centre in Regina on March 22.

Former local wins national playwriting contest

Two southeast Saskatchewan women were honoured for their craft in the Nation's capital last month. Weyburn native Trenna Keating won the top prize at Ottawa Little Theatre's 70th National One-Act Playwriting Competition.
