The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce held its annual Fair Parade on June 30 with over 50 floats participating. Although the judges had a difficult time, in the end the Chamber awarded prizes in three divisions. Business: El Nell Farms Ltd.

Edam – The village of Edam located on Highway 26 about 60 kilometres north of North Battleford is hoping to tap into growth from the construction of four thermal heavy oil plants in the area.

United Way Estevan will be looking to raise $338,000 this year to satisfy the needs of the organization’s 17 member agencies and three community impact projects. The theme for the organization this year will be Lead the Way.
