MARYFIELD - This has been a cold and blustery past week. Thank you for all our wonderful staff and friends for continuing to look after us so cheerfully.
Things are much quieter and after honouring Fred's Ukrainian heritage, the décor is slowly coming down. Thank goodness the Christmas goodies are disappearing. They were so tempting, you would not believe how generous people are.
We had our first tenants’ meeting of the new year to plan what we would like to see in the upcoming months. We also had a couple of card Bingos with Dawn and added a few nickels to our purses. It will never make me rich but it is so much fun.
More curling is coming on TV so many hours will be spent watching and enjoying to those who enjoy it.
We had a hymn sing with Rhonda on piano and the first song we sang was Count your many blessings one by one. I do every day for this wonderful place I live and the many hands that look after me.
Until next time, hopefully the weather will be better but then it's January when it should be cold.
