CARLYLE - Carlyle Town Council met for their first meeting of the month on Sept. 1, 2021.
Carlyle town council is happy to announce that we have are the successful recipient of the Municipal Asset Management Program Grant from Federation of Canadian Municipalities to complete some asset management projects.
As well, we have received funding from the Transit Assistance for People with Disabilities program through the Saskatchewan Government to purchase a replacement handi transit van for our community.
This summer we had a company through to survey for Dutch Elm Disease in the community, while here they identified 41 trees as СÀ¶ÊÓƵ diseased. These trees are currently СÀ¶ÊÓƵ removed and disposed of according to the Dutch Elm Disease Regulations. We will plan to re-survey next year to ensue we stay on top of it, as well replacement tree planting will occur.
Sept. 29 will be the last Wednesday evening (4 – 7 p.m.) that the transfer station is open. After this date we revert back to our winter schedule of Mondays and Saturdays from 1 – 4 p.m.
The next meeting of Council is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2021 at 7 p.m.
