WEYBURN — The five-member Truco Trick Riders, comprised of girls from the southeast area, gave their first performance in Weyburn at the Weyburn Fair on Thursday, just prior to the Souris River Rodeo.
The team includes Weyburn’s own Charlize Hallberg, along with Shayda King of Corning, Bailey Steeves and Jordanna White, both of Carnduff, and Kyla Dyer of Oxbow, with many of their practices at the King farm.
The girls were able to show a variety of tricks they have been developing in training, and were undaunted by the steady rain that fell throughout their performance.
“The shows have been going great. Crowds are loving the shows and we receive great feedback on the Facebook page always, and especially after shows when we go around in the stands with signed posters. We love hearing the feedback from everyone saying how much they enjoyed the show, and how it kept them on the edge of their seats,” said Charlize of their season so far.
