ESTEVAN - All three southeast Saskatchewan teams entered in the provincial baseball tournaments taking place in Estevan will play Sunday.
The Estevan 18U AA Blazers have qualified for the semifinals in the Tier 6 tournament. Estevan defeated the Regina Expos 16-7 and the Eston Ramblers 9-7 on Saturday to finish their round-robin games with a 3-0 record, leaving them tied for first with the 小蓝视频ey Eagles. 小蓝视频ey won the tie-breaker and will be the top seed for the playoffs.
The Blazers will face the Ramblers again at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the semifinals at Mel Murray Cactus Park. The winner of that game moves onto the final at 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Lynn Prime Park.
The Carnduff 18U AA Astros have advanced to the semifinals in the Tier 5 division. They will play the Gull Lake Greyhounds Sunday at 10 a.m. at Lynn Prime Park
On Saturday, Carnduff defeated Gull Lake 19-9, but lost 16-14 to the Yorkton Cardinals to close out the round robin with a 2-1 record. Yorkton earned the top seed with the win.
The final will be at 2 p.m. at Lynn Prime Park.
Teams in the 18U divisions played three of the five other squads entered during the round robin.
The Estevan 13U AA Brewers will close out the Tier 5 tournament Sunday at noon against the Carrot River Loggers at Mel Murray. Estevan is 0-3 after losing twice on Saturday, 14-3 to the Biggar Nationals and 17-15 to the Balcarres Broncs.
The top team from Estevan's pool will advance to the final, which will be played at 3 p.m. at Mel Murray.
A total of 21 teams are in Estevan for provincials this weekend, with nine teams in the 13U division, and six in each of the two 18U divisions.
