Badminton District Playoffs were held last week. Congratulations to Blaize Meyer, Devan Fafard, and Jailei Meyer who took part in Senior District Badminton in Carnduff on May 3, 2011. Jailei took home the Bronze in Girls' Singles - a job well done.

Carlyle Dance Effex held their first annual dance recital on Friday, May 6th to a sold out crowd at the Carlyle Memorial Hall Theatre. Dancers had the opportunity to show family and friends a year's full of hard work.

On May 3, Saskatchewan Teachers' Federations announced that all STF members would be withdrawing full professional and voluntary services on Thursday, May 5, in order to take part in a one-day study day and rally.

Dance Zone School of Dancing members took the stage in Carlyle on May 4 at Carlyle Elementary School. The club, taught by instructors out of Weyburn, have 67 children registered for dance this year.
